First we measure your lawn. Then
we make sure your yard is level, this will save
time in the future. We do this by sifting the
soil back and forth with landscape rakes. If you
lawn or yard is especially hard we may use a rotovator
to rototill the earth for easy movement.
Next we use our landscape shovels
to edge out the desired area. We take special
care to taper the lawn edges around driveways,
walkways and planters.
The next step for Phoenix sod
installation is to put down a nice coat of starter
fertilizer. Then we start the layout of your sod
to be installed. We usually use rectangles or
rolls for this process. We start with the borders
and work our way in. We stager your layers to
prevent sod washout of the fertilizer as well.
We ensure that all sod patch seams are tight and
well groomed.
Now we set your lawn sprinkler
timer to water the lawn daily for about one to
two weeks. The first time we service you Phoenix
lawn we will probably cut your grass a little
high to prevent cutting any sod roots and damaging
your new installation. When we have your lawn
scalped and ready for sod we will also repair
your sprinkler and irrigations systems as well.
